Manitowoc Cranes for Sale and Rent
Manitowoc Specifications
The Manitowoc 4000W lattice boom crawler crane features Vicon controls that can be configured as a lift crane, ringer crane, tower crane, or as clam and dragline crane.
Lifting Capacity: The Manitowoc 4000W is a heavy-duty crawler crane designed for handling large loads. It typically has a lifting capacity in the range of several hundred tons, making it suitable for a wide variety of heavy lifting applications, such as in construction, infrastructure projects, and industrial settings.
Boom Length: The crane is equipped with all-welded steel construction with inverted-angle chords and tubular lacings lattice boom, which can be extended to varying lengths. The specific boom length can vary depending on the configuration with optional jib attachments. Typically the boom comes with an automatic boom stop, pantograph boom stop, and telescopic boom stop.
Mobility: Being a crawler crane, the Manitowoc 4000W is mounted on a set of crawler tracks that provide excellent stability and mobility on rough terrain with 24’ extendable crawlers, and 48” treads. The tracks allow the crane to move around the job site efficiently, and the crawler design helps distribute the crane's weight over a larger surface area, reducing ground pressure.
Transportability: While the Manitowoc 4000W is a powerful and robust crane, it can be disassembled for transportation to different job sites. The crane's modular design allows it to be transported in various components, such as the boom, counterweights, and crawler units.
Power: Cummins, GM, and Caterpillar engine models are available with a fuel tank holding 210 gallons to ensure long working hours for duty cycle work. The engine is coupled with power transmission control, along with a three-stage torque converter that drives all machinery components.
Controls: Speed and power output are controlled by the hand/foot throttle allowing for a variety of traveling actions and fast traveling speed; enabling the crane to drive up 30% grade terrain. The Manitowoc 4000W also comes with an independent boom hoist which comes standard with the clutch shaft, worm gear and wheel, dual boom hoist drums, brake, and an auxiliary brake.
While no longer in production, the Manitowoc Group dealer network supports this model crane.
